What Happens Here?
This is not the first time.
Sometimes it is a word.
Sometimes a sentence.
Sometimes an image.
Sometimes an idea.
And sometimes something that was only supposed to take a few minutes.
Some of these paths become artworks.
Some become texts.
Some remain unfinished.
Some are still open.
What follows is a collection of open cases, detours, obsessions, misunderstandings, and things I was unable to walk past.
Or, at least, not yet.
Autoportret of a رد

## Autoportret of a رد
When I first thought of this phrase, I was using رد in the sense of a trace: a sign, a mark, the remains of something that had once been there.
This immediately created a contradiction.
A self-portrait usually promises the presence of a subject.
A trace points toward something absent.
So the phrase seemed to describe something almost impossible: a self-portrait of something that cannot fully appear.
Later, while trying to translate it, the word began to misbehave.
